The two types of Social Security Disability Benefits Programs are:

1) Title II Social Security Disability: This program requires that you have paid your Social Security taxes, that you have worked in the past 5 years, and have sufficient quarters, in order to proceed to be evaluated to review your medical records to see if you qualify as a disable person or not.

2) SSI: Here you must not have more than $2,000 in the bank, no income, not qualify for regular Social Security Disability, or receive less than $800 a month from your Social Security disability. In addition, you must be a US Citizen or fit in a very special class of residents. Once all these are meet the Social Security Administration reviews your medical records to see if you qualify medically.
